Set in a stunning 1700 acre estate, Ashcombe Park is part of the Churnet Valley, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty featuring places of special scientific interest. The perfect country retreat, its secluded location is a place of picturesque beauty.

The shoot was established in 1999 when John Pointon first purchased the adjoining farms to the estate. The Pointon Family continue to run the estate and the family has always been very passionate about the sport.

Dating back to the 17th century, the house has been sympathetically restored to its former splendour, retaining most of its original period features

Regarded as the most hospitable shoot int he country, there is huge emphasis on the personal touches, the family hosting the days and the relaxed feel of the entire shoot.
The shoot will normally aim for 4 drives, stopping for breaks in between drives and back to the lodge for lunch at the end of the day.

Opulent and ornate, the manor house is a visually stunning retreat set in 220 acres of parkland and woodland. As you approach through the sweeping gated driveway, the house makes for an instantly striking presence, setting the tone of grandeur and luxury for your stay. The large reception area makes for a fantastic first impression as you greet your guests

The communal areas are spacious and exquisitely furnished and decorated. Relax and socialise in the two magnificent lounge areas, take some calming time out in the peaceful library or intimate orangery, or gather together for some informal chat and refreshments in the kitchen and breakfast room.

The dining room is truly resplendent, giving you and your fellow guests an impressively elegant place to dine, with wooden floors, original features and antiques all lending themselves to the stunning area.
