Pheasant, partridge and duck shooting takes place around the Castle and the valleys and hills are perfect to show an array of very good birds. The shoot ensure that guests are tested by the shooting, but not overwhelmed.

A shoot briefing is conducted by the owner of the estate at the front of the Castle and pegs are drawn before jumping aboard the converted shoot bus. The shooting takes place in and around the well managed parkland where guns will enjoy challenging birds driven from ancient woodlands and cover crops.

The days are mostly pheasants with a few partridges and if you would like there are some exceptional duck drives that will test the best of guns. We return for elevenses in entrance arch of the castle and lunch is taken in the main dining room. Lunches are always a highlight as the in-house chef offers very good traditional seasonal cooking.

Eastnor Castle shares a proud heritage with Land Rover Experience who have been based on the Eastnor Estate for over 50 years.

Eastnor lies between the Cotswolds and the Welsh Marches. The Castle is 2 ½ miles east of Ledbury on the A438 Tewkesbury Road.

Pheasant, duck & partridge

early September until late January.

Meeting at the castle is very special, its a magnificent building and a truly stunning setting which is very hard to beat anywhere in the country. From there typically we will head out for two drives, elevenses are back at the front of the Castle with stunning views of the estate. Then we will shoot two further drives, coming back into the Castle for late shoot lunch around 2.30pm.

Either on-site in the Castle or locally there are many award winning pubs and hotels.
