Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire, Great Durnford Estate spans 1,200 acres of prime game shooting terrain. A true haven for shooting enthusiasts, the estate boasts 500 acres of mixed woodland, providing excellent cover and challenging drives. The woodlands, a captivating mix of towering oaks, graceful beeches, and dense undergrowth, offer a picturesque and varied landscape.

Beyond the woodlands, the estate opens into rolling meadows and lush pastures, perfect for partridge and pheasant shooting. With well-designed drives, the estate promises an exhilarating experience for both seasoned shooters and novices alike. The diverse landscape ensures a range of shooting opportunities, from high-flying pheasants to fast-paced partridges.

Located near the town of Salisbury, access via public transport or driving is straightforward.

Pheasant - Partridge

September - January

Teams meet at the main house for coffee. The day consists of four to five drives in a very relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments and elevenses are taken in the field, with everyone returning to the main house for lunch at the end of the day.

The Estate has recently refurbished The Great Bustard Pub, which is located a short drive from the shoot.
