Powys, Wales

Plas Dinam estate encompasses 4,000 acres of prime mixed shooting country. The opportunity for a diverse collection of drives is numerous and the stunning landscape has all the makings of an exceptional shooting estate.

Renowned for its partridge, Plas Dinam features drives such as ‘Big Willies’ and ‘Penrhilan’ which have now established themselves as bucket list regulars. We feel that the magnificence of the estate topography in the upper Severn valley, along with the magnificent (on estate) accommodation at Plas Dinam Country House, means that it has the potential to make this one of the greatest shoots in the country.

The beautiful country house was designed and built in 1873 for Captain Offley Crewe-Read and in 1884 was bought by David Davies of Llandinam and has remained in the family ever since.

When in Newtown follow signs for A489/A470 to Llanidloes.
After 5 miles you will reach a level crossing, continue for a further 1.4 miles and Plas Dinam entrance is on
the left.

Partridge & pheasant

September until the middle of January.

Guns meet at the Old Stables at Plas Dinam or within the house if staying over. There will typically be two drives in the morning and two drives in the afternoon, we will stop for refreshments after each drive and of course for elevenses. We then head back for a late shoot lunch before departure at 4pm, although teams can request to stop for lunch if preferred (usually October).

Teams are encouraged to stay on site in Plas Dinam House. However there are also some great pubs and hotels locally if preferred.
