Vaynor Park Shoot offers a quintessential Welsh estate experience, set against the backdrop of the impressive Vaynor House and nestled amidst ancient oak woodlands. The estate, owned by the Corbett Winder family, is renowned for its superb pheasant and partridge shooting.

The shooting experience at Vaynor Park is truly remarkable, with iconic drives such as 'Hanging Wood,' 'Middle House,' and the increasingly famous 'Cataphel.' These drives are known for their challenging high pheasants and thrilling partridges driven across expansive parklands and deep, wide valleys. The day begins at the stately home, where guns meet to draw pegs before heading out to the day's sporting adventures, promising an unforgettable experience in a beautiful Welsh setting.

The origins of the house date from the mid-15th century, but the house was extensively re-built in brick about 1640.

Pheasant & Partridge

1st September - 1st February

Teams meet at the Vaynor Park shoot lodge at 9am. The day includes four drives, with an in-field elevenses prepared by the chef over an open fire. The day concludes with a return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch.


Accommodation options include the comfortable Bettws Hall Luxury Lodges, as well as several nearby private residences. These choices offer a relaxing place to stay after a great day of shooting at Vaynor Park.
