Norfolk

Norfolk is widely regarded as the birthplace of driven shooting, embodying the traditions that define the sport. It rightfully lays claim to being the home of shooting. Nestled among its legendary estates is the private property of the Soames family at West Barsham, direct descendants of Sir Winston Churchill. This 5,000-acre sporting estate in stunning North Norfolk boasts a remarkable driven shoot.

Unlike much of Norfolk’s typically flat terrain, the estate features rolling, partially hilly countryside. Great care has been taken to utilise the topography, producing high, challenging partridges and pheasants. At the heart of the estate lies West Barsham Hall, surrounded by an 18th-century landscaped park and historic woodlands.

West Barsham is also home of the famous brewery, making some of the world's best beer.

Drive north via M11 and A11, then A1065 to West Barsham, about 125 miles.
